Greetings. As the title suggests Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I know, I know many people believe Christmas is the season of giving and should be the favorite. However, in my mind Christmas has become so commercialized that it is virtually unbearable. Christmas has turned into giving and getting things. Thanksgiving is being thankful for what you have. If you’re content with what you have, there’s no need to celebrate new things. Just my opinion.
Let me start by saying today was beautiful. My lovely wife busted her ass to ensure that there was a wonderful meal and she did not disappoint. I was surrounded by friends and family with joy on their faces. That makes for a great day. The sun was shining and the temp was good. The only way it could have been more perfect is if I had more family around and more friends, but I also realize you don’t always get what you want so I am thankful for what I got.
Now to the elephant in the room… My health is good. I have more energy now than I’ve had for many years. Back hurts but I ain’t going back to the back doc. Last time I did I got cancer. Who the hell knows what he’ll give me next time.
I wrote this to provide an update on my current situation. It is good. I see a future. I did not half a year ago. I am thankful for all who supported me and my family in my time of need. I look at it as you invested in me. I treat my life now from a different perspective. You invested in my future and I will not let you down. Your investment will pay off.
