Leg one of the road trip is over and I came to a couple of conclusions: My wife is the most amazing woman I’ve ever met and God done made us a Bee-utiful planet.
First, let’s talk about my wife. I don’t know if I’ve ever met a stronger, more loving woman in my life. She has been working 10 hour days, 6 days a week for some time now without complaint. In fact this is the closest thing she has had to a vacation since our honeymoon in March of 2016. She does all this with an infectious smile and positivity that can’t help but to motivate me. She worked 6 hours yesterday and then drove almost straight through for another 6. Not even a grumble. The time spent alone in the car just talking like we did before we got married was amazing and I loved every minute of it (even the 30 minute nap I took). She is wonderful and I love her!
Second, the sights through the national forest and through the Boston mountains were gorgeous. I felt alive again! Seriously, I’ve slept so much the past week and been so drained but all that melted away when I saw such beautiful landscape! Cancer never entered my mind.
We got to the hotel, got a bite to eat, went out for all of 30 minutes, took a hot tub, and we were done. Becca shook the hotel walls she was snoring so loud!!!
Today we head to Houston and our temporary home for the next week. I’ll talk to you soon.
